The proverbial saying - a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush used to mean that it is better to hold onto something one has than to risk losing it by trying to get something better. The idea behind this series comes from the idea that the bird in your hand can sometimes cause you to not even attempt change or improvement in life for fear of losing that bird in hand. Each piece in the series in progress will show a bird in hand surrounded by threats or discomforts.
